Modernist Author Plan.

I'm gonna do something along the lines of poems about a poet. Like all the I am statements can be small poems. It'll be cool

Last fact!

I tried to find something more interesting but came up dry and I apologize. Eliot was married once. Then his wife died and he then remarried 10 years after her death.

Fact 4!!

Eliot was an anti romantic :O . Scandle

Fact 3!!!

Even after he published Prufrock and The Waste Land, T.S. Eliot continued to work his day job at a bank. He was broke as a joke even after being a well known poet/ playwrite

Fact 2!!

Eliot hated the fact that a bad teacher could destroy a student's love of poetry. A poor teacher initially turned Eliot off to one of Shakespeare's tragedies. A poet who doesn't like poetry? WHAT!?

T.S Eliot FACT 1!

Eliot was a cat lover and kept several as pets. His whimsical poetry collection Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats was the basis for the long-running Broadway musical Cats. I like cats he like cats. I like poems he likes poems. We're the same people

Essay postage analysis

I think I did okay on the essay today. I didn't do great . It was short and lacking a lot of meat. I just kind of did it just to do it quick. I didn't put my best effort in and I'm not sure I got the theme of the book right. I could be wrong though. In any case I think I'd give myself a C or a B if I was feeling generous. Or a D. Either one. I deserve what I get. Next time I'll study the book more than just skimming through it to get the jist of it so I don't look dumb when Preston asks us questions.

The time of my life.

In the 35 minutes we had Derek, Josh, and I all recorded our songs we had to memorize on my iPod. Sadly I couldn't email them the videos because the iPod only sends 15 second videos through email and the videos we took varied from 2-5 minutes. I do have all 3 of our videos on my iPod if dr. Preston does need to see them but I don't know how to post it on blogger

Question to everyone in Dr. Prestons Amercan liturature class, Dr. Preston himself, or One of the T A's. Just anyone related that happens to be looking at this.

Do you think it would be cool if every week when we get our new vocab list we (the class or people in the class who can, or like to, write poems) could have the option of writing a poem with vocabulary words included and receive a small amount of extra credit.

I'm a poet and I know it!

Time to write another whack-ass-verse,
Rehearse this shit that I speak, so meek, like a rat under the sink. CREEEEEEEEEEEK! Watchout looks like we let the out the rat, someone go grab the cat-in-the-hat. " Meow" mr cat I like your hat, I like your fat, and I like your mat you set down. Dang cat you sure are chunky, little fat cat can't move cause he eats to much. (frown). LOVELY, Now i have a fat cat, you should see him get on the scales. Holy crap Cat how do you expect to get any of the females ? Kitty youll be so lonely youll run yourself off the rails. So there's the Kitty going crazy while franks just being lazy and no one remembers this cause your memories to hazy but I like my donuts glazy so get to it. By the wayzee I'm out cause this poem is hard but that's okay-see, It took an hour but I made a poem. Now I'm fresh like Edgar Allen Po -hyms that I speak on this paper, so you can read it later, please don't be a hater. K bye I love you

Greatly appreciated. I know that it was lame but it's better than some of the poems I read so.... Yeah.... Go frank

Spring semester plan 1

My plan for this semester and probably the rest of the year is to get on my school work and everything else in my life. As of lately I haven't done much of anything with my life, I've skipped school a lot, I haven't done any of my homework, I barely got through half of drivers Ed, just stuff like that. Looking back on it Its something I would like to fix this semester. I wanna get organized and motivated to do my school work and finish drivers Ed and get a job. I just wanna get all my stuff together. Also I'd like to become a better writer/songwriter. My grammar is terrible. I'd like to fix that in this class. Other goals I have that are different from school is to get better at guitar (because I've only been playing for 4 months), start to learn keyboard sometime in the next six months, to start on the bass guitar soon, to continue playing drums, and figure out whether or not I can sing because I've never taken the time to develop my voice to see of I actually can sing. Those goals have nothing to do with schooling but theyre just things I'd like to do in the coming semester/year.

Spring post 1: Music as liturature.

I think we can consider music literature. Every song is different like every book they have all their own style. Really the only thing that makes poems, raps, country music, and other forms of music different is the tone in how it's said and how the artists delivers the song or poem
